"That wasn't all me," Colledge said. "I thought the wide receivers did a great job. The down block was awesome. Jordy Nelson had a great block outside on a corner, the guy I was actually supposed to block. So we got to pick up an extra blocker, and that's what turns common plays into huge plays and that was a big play for us."
Wide receiver Donald Driver also cleared space down the field for Wynn.
"He was saying, 'Come on man, come on man,'" Wynn said. "I tried to tell Driver I am not as fast as he is so you've got to slow down."
Grant's 100-yard day was his first since the Houston contest earlier this month and fourth of the season. He had two 20-plus yard carries, the first a 20-yard gain down to the Detroit 4 to set up quarterback Aaron Rodgers 3-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jermichael Finley. The second, a 21-yard pickup, came late in the third quarter to help set up a 36-yard field goal from Mason Crosby that put the Packers up 17-14.
Grant's day did include his fourth fumble of the season and first since Week 7 vs. Indianapolis, which came early in the third quarter and the Packers deep in their own territory. The ball came loose after a big hit by Lions safety Kalvin Pearson, and Detroit took over the Green Bay 11, capitalizing two plays later with a 14-yard touchdown reception by wide receiver Calvin Johnson to even the score at 14.
"That is unacceptable," Grant said. "The guy just got underneath me, but the ball shouldn't come out regardless. It should never happen really."

When it comes to sports, especially to nfl game, perhaps the most recognized position is the quarterback.Nine times out of 10, the quarterback receives most of the attention for a football team, and when it comes time to decipher just who is among the elite and who is among the average, most NFL fans have a pretty fair idea of where to rank each guy.
However, as much as we all love to believe that Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Brett Favre, and Tom Brady are the top dogs in the NFL nfl jerseys, surely there are a few quarterbacks who are on the verge of changing their status.
So, without further ado, here’s a look at 10 quarterbacks who are one step away from becoming elite quarterbacks in the league, and who may very well get there by the end of next season.
In 2009, Aaron Rodgers had a near-MVP year, which makes for a scary thought in 2010, when it comes to considering just how dominant he may be in green and gold.
Give him a round of applause—he’s rid any Brett Favre talk in Green Bay. It wasn’t easy by any stretch, but this is Mr. Rodgers’ neighborhood, and it is here to stay.
Can he become an elite?
Most fans would like to think so, and I tend to agree. At the rate he is going, Aaron Rodgers may take a great Lambeau Leap into the top quarterbacks of the NFL anytime soon.
There’s no doubt that Aaron Rodgers has risen to fame like Justin Beiber has in the music industry.2009 stats: 4,434 yards, 30 touchdowns, 7 interceptions
It’s funny what following a legend will do to youOne minute, you are the most talked-about man on the planet, while the next, not much has changed, except people are appreciating you for your hard work.During the last season,Aaron Rodgers did it all good.He passed well,he played consistently and hardly, and he really helped the Packers when it mattered most.
However, one fact still remains the same: sacks. Rodgers was sacked a league-high 50 times last year, and this is a thought that most Packer fans would rather forget.
Much of the blame could be pinned on Green Bay’s offensive line, but some do say that Rodgers has the tendency to hold onto the ball a little too long.
Like Philip Rivers, these are two issues that could be fixed quite easily.Last edited on Wed Jul 21st, 2010 02:49 by nflfan
