With fitness being a big focus this year as a team, it’s our individual goal to become a member of the MVC Power Team. Introduced last season, the Power Team is a test of one’s physical strength and will power. This year it has been revamped by Steele Fitness who is our new personal training sponsor. Each MVC is required to complete a list of strength, speed, and conditioning exercises within a specific time to become a member.
Power Team exercises include:
5k run
100 yd dash
200 yd dash with weights
50 yd bear crawl
Killer sprints
Plank
Wall hang
Wall sit
Sit ups
Push ups
Splits

There are four tests throughout the season. Once an MVC is on the Power Team, she has to complete all of the exercises and improve in at least one during the next test to remain on the Power Team. Each girl who makes the Power Team is awarded with a prize. Some prizes include a Power Team tank, bandana, water bottle, and a gift certificate to Spalon Montage.
