RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
Romo needs to step up his game when the chips are down. He was in the right place at the right time when he took over for Bledsoe, but I still think after all this time he has had the chance to prove himself and he just can't seem to get it done when he needs to. Unfortunately for him he fell to the media pressure this week when everyone kept talking about November being over and how he basically sucks in the month of December. Lo and behold, they lost and there it was....December and Romo. The two just don't seem to go hand in hand.

You are right SashaJ, Romo just seems to fold in big games. This is not the quality of the top QB.

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
He just needs to be consistent. Sometimes he steps up when needed while other times he makes stupid mistakes but what QB hasn't made a few mistakes here and there? Romo haters get on my nerves, they act like this is the first time in football history a team has so many disappointments.

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
Lol I remember watching Dallas and the Panthers playing a few years ago, it was Bletso who started then was hurt. In comes Tony Romo with the Cowboys down in the third I think. Tony goes baller status and wins the game and becomes the Cowboys new starter. I remember thinking that he was going to be great.
That never panned out and He will never be an elite QB in the NFL as far as I am concerned. It would be better for the franchise to seek out a new QB in my opinion. I do not think he will ever be consistent. |

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
I personally don't see Tony Romo ever going much further than he already has a few years ago. He just doesn't have that extra bit needed to be considered an elite quarterback in my own opinion.

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
After seeing him against the Giants, I doubt it. He has the tools, but I just don't think that he is a big game quarterback. He had opportunities and I don't think the hand was that big a factor. It's all in his head.

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
Of course, Romo can be a QB. He's a legend for the Dallas Cowboys. Even though the Cowboys just had a setback with the New York Giants, he can still help the team rebound.

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
I feel bad for Romo. He seems like a cool dude, but I don't know if he's up to the pressure of QBing the Cowboys. The Cowboys of late seem to have more of a mindset problem than a personnel problem. Garret isn't a horrible coach, but that game where he iced his own kicker is just a stupid move and inexcusable.

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
Yeah the more I think about Romo the more I think he can become a successful QB in the NFL. I mean he's no Troy Aikman but few QBs are but if they can get some consistency about what they do and play with purpose I think he can be very good probably not Brees, Rodgers, Peyton, Brady good but in that next tier of QB.

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
This might seem odd, but I think part of the reason he's playing is his looks and charm. He's a popular QB, but he doesn't win the big games. In fact, he often is responsible for losing the big games (Seattle playoffs, anyone?). I think he was hurt by his receivers this year. I only saw a few games but a lot of dropped passes. Oh, and the center who can't snap in the shotgun! What's up with that guy?
