Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
Tony Romo has been into this debate many times before. One time we considered him an up-and-comer QB in the league. He was able to get the Cowboys into the playoffs a few times, but it's always ended in a loss.
Do you think Romo can become an elite quarter-back? Or will he just end up being a great quarter back who never achieves major success? |

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
I think it is possible for Romo to be an elite Qb, but it will be hard because he needs to make better decisions. Romo is a lot like Brett Farve and will likely follow that kind of path with his NFL career, or at least i my opinion.

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
Sure he can. Problem is he plays for the Dallas Cowboys so winning is more than everything for them. If he can put together at least one decent post-season run (this year would be a good opportunity) then I think people would go a little bit easier on him.

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
It is an odd situation from my vantage point. Tony Romo has great stats most of the time, but sometimes he falls short in a crucial moment. An interception at a horrible moment, a bad hold on an extra point attempt, etc have caused Dallas fans a lot of angst.

He might be able to be a top quarter back if he would be more consistent with his game.

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
Tony Romo had the chance to be an elite QB however those chances passed him by. He's a good QB for a good team nothing more nothing less. This is a guy who looks great one week and the next week we are scratching our heads at his decision making process during pressure situations or big games. Romo is what he is - a solid starter on a good team.

By comparison to an Aaron Rodgers or a Tom Brady he is still very much a work in progress but overall he's a decent enough quarterback and should have a good career in Dallas. |

RE: Can Tony Romo be a top QB?
I really think he can. Stat-wise, he's a great QB. Just what he struggles with is being a leader. He's not a great leader but is still a great QB.

Like any good QB, he has to finish the deal. Marino was a great QB, but never won a championship, but at least he got the team there. Romo can barely make it out of the first round.

Romo is a top QB stat-wise. What he needs to work on is being a consistent winner and a clutch QB.
