Cowboys' Shaun Chapas fined $20K
Rookie fullback Shaun Chapas made a little bit more than $22,000 in his first game on the active roster last week at Arizona.

The NFL wants $20,000 of it.

That does not surprise me, but $2,000 a week is not bad.

These fines are there for a reason but it seems this season the fines just keep coming and coming. I can see both sides of the coin. The player who needs to pay, doesn't want to. They are saying Chapas will appeal the decision. But look at it from the other players point of view. These fines are in place to prevent injuries. And it angers me that the players who cause this danger only see it as money they have to pay out and not the fact that they broke a rule and did something wrong.

I totally agree. Players do not see this as a punishment for breaking a rule. They will argue it until they get their money back. Now some of these rule breakers need to be suspended, like Suh was, but he only got a two game suspension and is appealing that decision. Do you think the punishment should be more severe?
