Dallas Cowboys sign Sammy Morris

Sammy Morris is officially a member of the Dallas Cowboys.

Morris, 34, played 11 years in Buffalo, Miami and New England but has not played this year after getting cut by the Patriots in training camp. He had a workout with Kansas City this season.

"I hadn't heard anything for a while so I assumed that I'm going to ride into the sunset," Morris said. "So I got the phone call. ... I all but said I was done in my mind, but it didn't turn out that way."

He is a descent back and maybe able to step right in, but it is awlful late in the season and 34 is pretty old for a running back. All the Cowboys need to do is keep the defense honest. Romo can control the game and with Austin back it is going to help.

Wow. I dont think Sammy is going to be of any use.
NOBODY else wanted him and he's really old for a RB.

It might as well be Felix all alone back there.
At this point, all fans can hope for is a playoff birth and a good showing.

I agree, without Murray and with just Felix in the backfield, because Morris won't be that much help, the Cowboys are in trouble. I just don't feel safe with the team relying on Romo to win games. He can be great or horrible, no consistancy.
