Michael Vick rests sore ribs

Michael Vick watched practice from the sideline, still sore from taking a beating in his first game back after breaking his ribs last month.

Vick participated in a walkthrough Wednesday morning, but was a spectator in the afternoon when the Philadelphia Eagles began preparations for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

Before practice, coach Andy Reid said he's confident Vick would start against the Jets (8-5). The Eagles are still clinging to playoff hopes despite a 5-8 record. They'll need Vick to be sharp this week against one of the toughest defenses in the NFL.

Well, he makes too much money to get hurt in practice. The Eagles need him out there playing and if resting all week means he will play, then that is what you do. He just seems to be hurt a lot this year. The first year of his big contract. Questionable?

Well hopefully he can play again. I mean he should rest and then try to get up and play. The eagles really need him to actually play with them. I hope that he can get up and get going soon. Yes he has been hurt a lot, but most of it came from when he hurt his head, so basically everything esculated from there. He really needs to get up and try to go if possible.

I agree, he needs to play and the Eagles can play spoiler to some teams. That would be great in my opinion.

I hope he gets well and can play. It really stinks that thew only good quarterback on this team always is in the hospital... Oh well this season is already done for the Eagles. They are just boiling chicken with just no hope.
