I'm scared for the Packers

I'm scared for the Packers
The Packers played like a high school football team up against a pro team when they faced the Kansas City Chiefs. I was just flat out disgusted by their defense as well as their offense. It was as if they just didn't care.

But they showed some spark this week when they beat the Bears 35-21 with Aaron Rodgers passing for 5 touchdowns. It seemed like the defense played better and Aaron Rodgers wasn't sacked once, which is crazy especially how messed up the offensive line is.

Anyways seeing as the Saints are playing really good this year, I'm afraid the Packers might not have a chance in the playoffs. What do you guys think?

I have faith the offense will play like they always do, but I'm still not sure if the defense will show up.

RE: I'm scared for the Packers
I'm a Saints fan and would like to believe we have a chance to go to the Super Bowl. I truly believe that the Packers are the only team that can hold the Saints back this year.

Without a doubt, I would pretty much have to completely agree with your statement. I think it will come down between those two teams in particular. Whoever wins will be whoever plays ball better on that day. Green Bay won earlier in the year, but they are looking a bit more shaky now than before.

As well, I personally feel New Orleans is continually looking better as the seasons been progressing and coming to a close. It's really a toss up, and we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I think the 49ers could beat both teams with their defense. That being said, if Aaron Rodgers gets hot (which happens frequently for him) I don't believe anyone can beat the packers.

RE: I'm scared for the Packers
Packers defense is extremely suspect to say the least. They let Chicago run all over them with the 3rd string back. The offense on the other hand, is top notch, but what happens if they have an off day? Need a defense to fallback on.

Saints are extremely dangerous at home, in the dome. I don't think they lost a single game at home this year? On the road, they are beatable.

Agreed. Not that the Packers have a good run game, but it will be nonexistent against that 49ers defense. They will need Rodgers to be at the top of his game. I'm sure he's up for the task but that 49ers defense is legit.

The Packers right now remind me of the Colts a few years ago. The defense wasn't very good, but they still won 10+ games because Peyton Manning could more or less take them down the field every single drive.

I do believe the Saints would beat the Packers unless the defense can improve. If I were a QB, I'd also feel a lot less pressure if the defense played well, because then I wouldn't be required to take the ball down the field for a TD every time the defense can't make a stop.

RE: I'm scared for the Packers
The Packers offense is good enough that they can (and most likely will) beat anybody. Their defense needs to step up in the playoffs though. If you're trying to win a shootout at the last minute every game it can only take one bad turnover to lose it all.

RE: I'm scared for the Packers
I think there is certainly the opportunity for the Packers to be beat before the Super Bowl or in the Super Bowl. It will be difficult to do but as shown on time this season, not impossible. It will be interested to see what happens for sure.

RE: I'm scared for the Packers
Whoever beats them in the playoffs is going to have to play a pretty awesome sort of game.
