Matt Flynn's historic day leads Packers' backups past Lions
With Aaron Rodgers resting up for the playoffs, Matt Flynn had to be ready to run the Green Bay Packers offense.

Was he ever.
With Rodgers bundled up on the sideline in cold and windy conditions at Lambeau Field, Flynn set franchise records with 480 yards passing and six touchdowns -- the final one to Jermichael Finley with 1:10 left, giving the Packers a 45-41 victory over the Detroit Lions in a wild regular-season finale Sunday.

I bet that Flynn's agent's phone was ringing off the hook after that performance.

Yeah I'm pretty sure teams are looking to sign this guy for something next season. A lot of teams don't even have a starter as good as this guy.

Flynn ALSO almost beat the Patriots last year, if I remember right. This isn't good for the Lions, though. If they give up that many points against a backup, how are they going to stop Drew Brees or even Aaron Rodgers himself (if they manage to get past the Saints)?

I'd be slightly worried if I was some teams because this reminds me of when Brady went down and Matt Cassel came in and did pretty well for the Pats. Flynn looks to be significantly better though, so hopefully I'm wrong about this one. I bet the Cardinals would kill to have him.
