Lions vs. Saints

Lions vs. Saints
I was kinda hoping the Lions would play Atlanta or New York in the first round, but they're matched up with the Saints instead.

Do you guys think they have any chance to win? I know they've been a really good team this year, but Drew Brees has basically stepped in for Peyton Manning in being (in my opinion) the best quarterback in the NFL this year. Do you think the Lions defense can step up? Or is it basically going to turn into a shootout?

It'll probably be a shootout, but the Saints should win this one handily. Stafford might step up and surprise everyone though. Hey, if the 7-9 Seahawks can upset the Saints in the playoffs so can the Lions.

The Saints were pretty well banged up last year. This year, except for Ingram, the team is playing on all cylinders at most positions. Good luck to the Lions--I refuse to talk smack to anyone, so that's sincere--but I am pulling for the Saints to win and fully believe that they will.

RE: Lions vs. Saints
Based on last week's game against the Packers, they will get sliced and diced, and there will be no miraculous come-back in the fourth quarter like they've done in a few games. Good for them for at least making it to the playoffs though. That is an achievement, considering their recent history.

RE: Lions vs. Saints
I think if the lions can keep it together defensively then they can do something. Otherwise then it will just be like last week but on a worse level. Stafford needs to keep up the good work as well. This will all come down to the lions defense. Offensively the lions are on a top 5 level.

RE: Lions vs. Saints
The Lions have a good enough defense to win but it is really down to what sort of day Brees and the Saints have. If they have a good day then the Lions will be beaten.

RE: Lions vs. Saints
If Brees passes at will like he's been doing the Lions will lose. If the Saints come out like they did last year in the playoffs and try to play down to the competition they might lose because Stafford can put up a lot of points when he gets going.
