Arizona awarded 2015 Super Bowl
Ah, Arizona. Just the place for the Super Bowl to thaw out after a frosty foray into the New York/New Jersey area.

The Super Bowl is heading back to the desert in 2015, one year after it will be at the mercy of winter weather in the Meadowlands. The Phoenix area was awarded the 49th Super Bowl by NFL owners Tuesday, beating the only other candidate -- Tampa, Fla.

It will be the third time the Phoenix area has hosted the game, which will be played in Glendale.

RE: Arizona awarded 2015 Super Bowl
This is good for bringing attention back to Arizona however, does nothing for the team at all. Arizona will be going nowhere near this area come this time of year next season. Simply because they will not be in the Superbowl or at least a real slim chance they somehow make it. If they do that then this is great news because then they will have home-field advantage.

RE: Arizona awarded 2015 Super Bowl
This is a great opportunity for the State of Arizona and for the Cardinals in general. Granted, the odds are against us, (slim and none) that the Cardinals will be in this Superbowl, but, for the next couple of years, being awarded the Superbowl should spur on construction. All the building that was supposed to happen by Loop 101 in the East Valley may be continued, since it was put on hold for so many years. Also, many hotels, restaurants, etc will want to put their best face forward when it rolls around so that would mean some work for painters, wallpaperhangers, interior decorators, gardeners, etc. Basically blue collar jobs, especially the ones that use a lot of physical labor will be created just to get things pretty for the game!
