A huge area such as DC can hardly ever fill the redskins stadium. A new team HAS to be in an area that can be self sustainable. because the Redskins suck, and people don't want to go watch a sucky team. If the Redskins were winning, their stadium would be sold out every home game. So a small market city with a winning team would do better than a big market team with a losing team. Look at the Dolphins. Their home games show so many empty seats. And look at the Packers. How could Green Bay be considered a large market? But they win, so fans go to the games. |

Seriously? Green Bay is a community owned team!
That's the difference. Green bay is a football town. Completely different than Miami. To make my point valid, losing teams can't sustain themselves in a small city. That's what keeps them alive, sold seats! BMW Enthusiast - M3Fever Gamer/Modder - StealthyGaming |

There's plenty of smaller market cities that don't have a team but I'm sure would love one. Adding just one or two teams screws everything up. That would be adding a total of 8 teams to the NFL. I don't think you are going to find enough markets for that big of an expansion. I do think expanding to 36 is possible. |

I get the sickening feeling that we will start hearing about the first team in London soon. Let the logistical nightmares begin!
