Eli Manning named Super Bowl MVP

Eli Manning is elite, for sure. A king of comebacks, too. And far, far more than Peyton's little brother now.

Spot-on from beginning to end Sunday night, Eli Manning won his second NFL championship in a four-year span -- and second Super Bowl MVP award -- for coolly, calmly steering the New York Giants to a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots with a last-minute touchdown drive.

No doubt at all. Whoever won the Super Bowl it was going to be won by the QB without question. Eli had the better game and lead his side to victory more than earned a second MVP and probably a gold jacket..I think Ochocinco's got one sitting at home he'll never use..

I agree that he was the most valuable players. There certainly were some other valuable players but in the end I think the game was won because of Manning. That night he was the better quarterback on the field as well.

I think quarterbacks get an unfair bias. Sure, he had some good plays, but they won because the defense stopped Brady. They got a safety, which ended up being very important in the final score. I know the defense has been named VIP before and I think they should have been given it for that Super Bowl.

I'm not so sure that Eli would even do as well as Brady if he were on the Patriots. Brady on the other hand seems like he would do well no matter what team he plays for.

He deserves it for being the ONLY one to beat Brady in a Superbowl. Not once but TWICE. That in itself is an accomplishment.

I knew that he was going to get the award after he helped the Giants steer the win in the superbowl.. If you ask me it was very obvious.
