Terrell Owens still wants to play in NFL

Terrell Owens still believes he's an elite wide receiver and is surprised no NFL team wanted him on its 53-man roster for the 2011 season.

There was one team that did want Owens, the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League, who signed him to play wide receiver. He will also have a 50 percent ownership in the franchise. Owens can make as much as $500,000 with the Wranglers.

On Wednesday, in front of an estimated crowd of 700, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Drew Pearson, the Wranglers general manger, introduced Owens to a loud ovation at the Allen Events Center.

"It was an opportunity for myself and my family," Owens said. "It's a way for myself to keep in shape. I haven't retired from the NFL. I want to play a couple more years. This right here will allow me to do that and assess where I am. I know I'm physically fit to play the game still."

i believe in him too , his has that ability and get some pass , his experience is his best wealth , do not why so many team which lack WR very much did not sign him last seaon . Expecting him and Randy Moss surprise us .

I think he has a lot of game left in him. It's times like this that make players who they are. Similar to LT, everyone was saying he's a has been, then look at him. He came back and had a HUGE year. This last year he wasn't as good, but still the point remains. I think Terrell will be an asset to the team and will afford them the opportunity to throw some good passes and move the ball.

He caught 3 TD on 3 receptions in his first AFL game so he can still play. I don't see why some team doesn't grab him for league minimum and see what happens.

He just had bad luck. He was having a good season and had that season ending surgery two years ago.

I'd like to see him back in the NFL. He's really up there in age though and it's hard to say whether he still has it. As a 3rd WR, he could help just about any team. Would he be able to fit into this role though is the question.

Id like to see him in MN. I think he would compliment the running game quite well. Back when MN had Chris Carter, Moss and a QB that could get the ball to them, they had some monster seasons. (1999)

I would actually be interested in seeing him returning to the NFL. I am wondering if he has been humbled to the point that he could be a real asset to a team.

He's almost the same issue as Randy Moss.

WHO will take T.O.?

Will he be the same arrogant, locker room team destroyer he used to be? Or will he wise up and be willing to take a lesser role?
