I'm not sure what you mean. Greatest in terms of games won? championships won? merchandise sold?

I think the Patriots have what it takes to be considered the greatest franchise. They came back from nothing in the 80's and look at them today... they have an amazing team. It's a shame they can't pull a W Vs. Giants in the championship.

I'n my case, I think as a Redskins fan that Steelers are the best team. Becuse they are the ones holding the most Super Bowl titles.

I am going to go with the Green Bay Packers. There are no other fans like theirs. They live, eat and breath Packers football! I also think it is cool that they are publicly owned.

I would say the 49er's. They had some great teams and QB's leading them in Joe Montana and Steve Young. I think the Steelers have a strong case too though.

Historically, I would have said a team like the Packers or the Bears.

Each of those teams have deep legacies. Then you have teams like the 49ers, the cowboys, and the giants that have more recent feats of greatness to them.

The Pats are a "modern day" great because of their constant superbowl wins. And the Giants legacy might be even great for the fact that they BEAT the Patriots in the superbowl TWICE. Which is something no other team has been able to do once since the Brady era.
