Randy Moss wants to play in 2012
Monday is Randy Moss' birthday, and he had an announcement to commemorate the occasion: He wants to end his brief retirement and return to professional football in 2012.
"I wanna play football," Moss said on UStream on Monday morning. "Your boy is going to come back here and play some football, so I'm really excited. I had some things I had to adjust in my life." His agent, Joel Segal, wouldn't go into his client's available options. "Randy and I have discussed it," Segal said of Moss coming out of retirement. "He still has his fire and he's looking forward to playing football. He's excited." Moss posted on his Twitter page: "Now back to biz!! There's good an bad an u have to b ready for both! its in gods hand now." Read more:http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7570336/randy-moss-says-wants-return-football-2012

@Dean518
How do you know it will be hard for him? Have you been following his training regimen? Personally, I don't think moss would try to come back if he knew that his skills had declined; and an athlete knows when his skills have declined. I'm sure old boy can still play; but we'll see. |

I have no idea what you just said... However, I will say that Moss is a DAMN good player. When he was in the game to win and not make a fool of himself, he was the best receiver! When he first started with the Vikings, he dominated the field "Just chuck it up" was the slogan. If he comes back and is put on a team with a decent QB, you better be ready! I'll be one of the first to pick his ass up in a League. Just watch! |

I think he is serious and can back it up. As much drama as he causes I think he realizes he needs to put up or shut up now because he doesn't have it like he used to. He even said he wouldn't take guaranteed money until the team decides to keep him that way they have no cons for taking him into camp and then cutting him.

It would be quite silly for no one to take him up on the offer. He's a hell of a lot better than a lot of the other options some teams have. BMW Enthusiast - M3Fever Gamer/Modder - StealthyGaming |

I'm sure he can still play at a high level but he is but a frame of his former self. He'd be a nice #2 wideout.

He knows he isn't going to be the number 1 guy making the Pro Bowl anymore but he wants to play and wants to contribute. Assuming his attitude has changed, which it seems it has, then he will be a great number 2 or 3 receiver and will definitely be a threat if matched up against a safety. |

I'm sure he still has the physical tools to help a team. At worst you have a huge target to throw to and that will draw attention. The question marks will always be around his attitude and how willing he is to fit into a team concept. He did a decent job in New England, but then they ended up moving him so we don't know exactly what happened there.

RE: Randy Moss wants to play in 2012
If he can still play and perform week in and out for the whole season, and acts the way he did with the Patriots I personally would have no problem picking him up. But with his age he better be ready for a pay cut. Which he's already stated its not about the money. We'll see how this plays out when the season starts!!! It will be interesting...
