Roddy White: Roger Goodell overpaid

Roger Goodell reportedly will make $20 million per season by the end of his current contract. That figure set off Falcons receiver Roddy White, who posted his displeasure Monday at the commissioner's salary on his Twitter account.

"How in the hell can u pay a man this much money that cant run tackle or catch," White wrote, posting a link to a ProFootballTalk.com story which referenced the Sports Business Journal's report on Goodell's compensation.

"Roger Goodell is getting over never seen anything like it 20 million for looking over the league with tremendous help I guess the NFL is banking," he continued. "The NFL is not a company it's a nonprofit organization that makes a lot of profit."

I don't understand for the love of me why Roddy White can't keep his opinions to himself. I love the Falcons and always will but if he stopped talking and started practicing more we wouldn't have to worry about dropped passes for touchdowns or first downs when they mattered the most. Please Mr. White be quiet and just do your job which is to catch balls and try to bring this city a Super Bowl!

20 million? That is pretty nuts, I didn't know he was getting paid anywhere close to that amount. Not saying he has the easiest job in the world, but it's certainly not the most difficult either.

I can understand his gripe to a degree. But I doubt Goodell's job is all that easy the way he makes it sound.

Well for a start Goodell is more educated than White. White is basically making himself look stupid with these comments. He should shut up and collect his own overpaid salary and not complain. I mean all he does is play a game, how is that important?

LOL PseudoK! True that it gives us something to talk about! Poor judgement for White to twitter his opinions on Goodells salary. Sounds like jealousy to me!

I agree. The guys is way overpaid. I just don't think that it is the player's place to say anything about it. Shut up and do your job lol.
