Tony Romo vows title 'at some point'
Quarterback Tony Romo, responding to criticism from Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, promised Thursday that the Dallas Cowboys will "win a Super Bowl, at some point."
After the Cowboys' collapse against the Detroit Lions on Oct. 2, Sanders -- who was on Dallas' last Super Bowl team -- proclaimed Romo would not be the one to take the team to its next championship.

RE: Tony Romo vows title 'at some point'
This is the attitude Tony Romo, and any NFL QB, needs to have. If he does not believe in himself and his teammates then there would be no reason for them to take the field, other than the paycheck of course. Dallas has a long history of big talent and even bigger expectations. Romo has his struggles as all NFL players do, but being the Cowboys QB magnifies those issues 10x. Whether Romo can get the 'boys to the promise land remains to be seen but he is definitely a better option at QB than several NFL teams have.

RE: Tony Romo vows title 'at some point'
I was never a fan of Dion Sanders until after he retired and became a commentator. Romo does have a good attitude....they may not make it this year, but but then again, there is still a lot of playing left to do this year and nothing is set in stone.

RE: Tony Romo vows title 'at some point'
I noticed that Romo said Dallas will win a championship. Will Dallas win as Romo the quarterback? Romo has been given a lot of chances but still not producing.

Yes, they Dallas Cowboys will eventually win another Super Bowl. But that will only come after Tony Romo has moved on and Jerry Jones can stop playing favorites and admit he doesn't have the ability to 'see' what others don't in players.

Maybe if he performs better in the 2012-2013 season; stranger things have happened, after all. |

RE: Tony Romo vows title 'at some point'
Well that's going out on a limb there Romo. Couldn't you say that about every team. "At some point we will a championship" Does he mean before he leaves? Or jsut at some point in the whenever future?

RE: Tony Romo vows title 'at some point'
I agree that Dallas will win another Super Bowl at some point, I just don't think Romo is the QB to take them there. As for Deion, never cared much for him.

RE: Tony Romo vows title 'at some point'
Reminds me of the Eagles of the early 90's. Weren't they saying the same thing? If this year wasn't their year, next year was. Seems like the Cowboys are going down the same road.
